Searls LLC App Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

This policy applies to all Searls LLC apps on Apple platforms. We do not collect your app content or track your activity. Our apps do not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Your data stays under your control

Our apps are designed around storage and processing on your devices and Apple's own services, including iCloud, CloudKit, Private Cloud Compute, translation, and dictation. Features differ by app, device, and platform.

Your drafts, learning material, progress, books, captures, messages, and other app content are stored locally or in Apple services associated with your Apple Account. Some content and preferences can sync between your devices or between our apps through private iCloud containers and Apple's key-value storage. This does not publish your content to other users.

When you pair with another person or choose to share content, that person or your selected destination receives it. Deleting or leaving a conversation cannot erase copies another person has already saved or shared. Apps and services you share with handle that content under their own policies.

Models and Apple services

Model-assisted features use models running on your device or Apple's services, including Private Cloud Compute. Private Cloud Compute processes requests through Apple's service. We do not receive your prompts or model responses. Downloading a local model contacts its hosting service, such as Hugging Face; the model then runs on your device without sending its input to that host.

Apple handles services such as synchronization, notifications, Siri, translation, dictation, Game Center, and in-app purchases according to your settings and Apple's policies. We do not receive your payment card details or Apple Account credentials.

Requests made from your device

Web searches run directly from your device. We do not receive or retain your search queries. Search engines receive the queries needed to return results, and websites receive requests when your device fetches their pages.

If you configure a streaming provider, media server, or playlist, your device contacts that destination directly for authentication and playback. Provider secrets are stored in the device Keychain; saved provider configuration may sync through CloudKit. Download hosts, search services, websites, and streaming providers receive ordinary network information, such as your IP address, and handle requests under their own policies. These requests do not pass through a Searls LLC server.

Permissions and deletion

You choose what to import, capture, paste, share, or submit. Device Settings controls camera, microphone, photos, notifications, and other permissions. Apple Account and Game Center settings control Apple's services.

Use the applicable app's Clear, remove, delete, or reset controls to remove saved content. Downloaded resources and models have their own removal controls. Deleting an app removes its app-local data, but does not necessarily remove iCloud content, Keychain credentials, shared containers, backups, exported files, or copies held by other people and services. Use your Apple Account's iCloud storage settings for synchronized content and manage external accounts with their providers. Synchronization can take time across devices.

Information you choose to send us

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you send. Apple may share TestFlight feedback and crash reports you submit. Some beta and development builds also offer an optional in-app report. If you choose to send one, we receive your description, chosen attachments, and displayed diagnostics or recent logs through Apple services or GitHub for investigation. Reports sent through Apple services may be copied to GitHub for issue tracking. A GitHub credential used for reporting is stored in the Keychain. Review reports before submitting because they can contain personal content.

We use information you voluntarily submit to answer you, investigate problems, and improve our apps. Support correspondence and reports may be retained while needed for support and issue history. GitHub reports and attachments do not automatically expire and may remain in repository history. Contact us to request removal of information you sent us. Copies retained by Apple, GitHub, email providers, or other recipients are subject to their policies and controls.
